Riveter is named after the famous "Rosie the Riveter" image that was invented by the
United States government during World War II. "Rosie the Riveter" was an image that encouraged women to enter the domestic workforce as factory workers or "riveters." The influx of workers was enormous and it is common knowledge that women helped fighting soldiers to win the war against fascism.
Riveter is an organization that enables American females to speak in one voice. This singular voice defines us as a group that will not tolerate war on our reproductive rights.
